Description
Winter storm warnings? Under control. Even though many of today’s four-wheel-drive vehicles have gotten smaller and lighter, it doesn’t mean they can’t still be a high-performance snow plowing machine. With the FISHER® SD Series snow plow, you can make short work of that storm in no time flat. Just like the pros.
Trip-Edge Design
Only the edge of the blade trips when an obstacle is encountered. It’s much less jarring than a full-trip blade, and because the plow blade stays upright, plowed snow remains in front of the blade. The FISHER® trip edge uses compression-type springs. They never need adjusting and don’t stretch like extension springs.
Rugged Moldboard
Ideal for standard-duty commercial and institutional plowing, the SD Series snow plow is built to fit a wide range of vehicles and deliver a perfect balance of performance and versatility. Available in 6’9” and 7’6” widths, these blades are a full 26” high and made of 14-gauge steel.
Polymer Cutting Edge
The SD Series straight blades come standard with a ½” base angle and 1” x 6” polymer cutting edge to increase wear resistance and improve cutting power and scraping ability without adding excess weight. The tough polymer material also helps absorb plowing shock.
Reliable Hydraulics
We build our own hydraulics for unmatched speed and durability. Fast hydraulics allow you to change the blade position quickly and easily for efficient plowing. All critical hydraulic components are fully enclosed for protection from the elements.
Chain Lift System
- With the chain lift system, you get instantaneous “float” when lowering the blade. Unrestricted, the blade can freely follow the contours of the plowing surface for a cleaner scrape.
- With the chain lift you can stack higher because you’re not limited by the hydraulic ram stroke.
- In the rare event of a hydraulic failure, you can push the snow plow up into a snow bank and “short chain” the snow plow by attaching it to the specially designed bracket and safely transport the snow plow back to the shop.
